ABOUT
IT'S (NOT QUITE)
THE END OF THE WORLD
a.k.a THE CAUTIOUSLY OPTIMISTIC CABARET
Join the Rhode Island Ukulele Armada and special guests as they present an evening to buoy your hopes…or, at least, help you pass an hour or so!
It’s (Not Quite) the End of the World is a continuation of last summer’s End of the World Cabaret which was presented as part of Decameron, Providence. This time the hijinks will be taken online live from the Waterfire Arts Center and the Armada will be joined by a unique assortment of special guests.
The lineup of artists will vary by night but will include an original film from Robert Isenberg, musical performances by the RI Ukulele Armada with guest vocalists Jason Quinn and Maggie Papa, music from Luis Gilberto, an interactive folktale from Baha Sadr and more. The evening will also introduce a ‘choose your own cabaret’ element that will put the audience in charge of portions of the evening’s entertainment.
So slap that semi-genuine smile on your face and let the music and hilarity into your living room…or office…or yurt…or, basically, wherever you choose to watch online. After all, it’s (not quite) the end of the world!
