EMBODIED ACTION!
An Acting Class for LITERALLY Everyone (16+)
Meeting Most Monday Nights!
OCTOBER 20 - JUNE 15
7:00pm - 9:00pm
206 Elmwood Avenue, PVD
Embodied Action is a weekly, drop-in acting class for literally ANYONE (over the age of 16) that uses joy-based games and embodied techniques to explore the performer’s capacity for truth, joy, enthusiasm, and generosity.
We create an equitable space where folx can learn to take risks on stage while supporting themselves and others, and this class is an opportunity to get your head by learning to trust your impulses and following them to new and exciting places.
Each class has a warmup, group games, and individual/small group exercises. Wear all-black clothes for movement, bring hydration, and be prepared to sweat. All classes take place @ 206 Elmwood Avenue in Providence, RI (unless noted otherwise).
As a window into our community, participants from EA are encouraged to stay and observe work shares by The Booboisie, the Wilbury Group's approach to community-supported performance training.
Please reach out to mycah@thewilburygroup.org with any questions.
