Written and directed by Don Mays and pitted against the backdrop of the racial and cultural issues of today this innovative twelve-part audio play is a compelling exploration of the impact of religion on race, Black culture, and a collective need for faith in something larger than ourselves.​

ABOUT THE SHOW

God Talks To An Agnostic is written and directed by Don Mays,with sound design and musical contributions by Andy Russ, and stage management by Natalie Rosario and support from  Julia Garcia.

The production features performances by Don Mays, Rose Weaver, Jackie Davis, Daraja Hinds, Rudy Ru Cabrera, Pamela Lambert,  Jason Quinn, Tânia Montenegro, Jeff Hodge, Cilla Bento, Brien Lang, Brianna K. Rosario, Jennifer Mischley, Justin Pesch, Christine Treglia, Alana Parrot , Oliver Solaris, and Noah Ruiz.

ABOUT WRITER / DIRECTOR DON MAYS

God Talks to An Agnostic creator Don Mays is a Writer, Filmmaker, Director, and Photographer based in Providence. As a filmmaker, Mays has one feature film, one HBO short film, a documentary and several short films and scripts to his credit. As a theatre director, Mays has worked with several local theaters including The Providence Black Rep and The Wilbury Theatre Group, where his film work appeared in Decameron, Providence, and as Director of Hype Man: a break-beat play and the Group's 2020 production of the musical Miss You Like Hell. Currently Mays has used his photography skills to document the uprising in association with the Black Lives Matters movement.
