The Wilbury Theatre Group offers unpaid summer, semester, trimester and year-long internships opportunities to qualified college students and young professionals eager and interested in learning more about the artistic, management and development side of running a growing, non-profit professional theatre company. Internships are available in Artistic Management, Education, and General Administration.
Whatever their chosen area of focus, all of our interns are encouraged and expected to work as equal collaborators with theatre professionals on professional quality productions.

Artistic InternshipWorking closely with the Artistic Director and production team as needed, the Artistic Intern contributes to and provides support for a wide range of artistic programs including literary management, new play development, youth education programs, community outreach and other functions managed by artistic departments of The Wilbury Theatre Group.
Duties may include:
An intern in this position would receive a broad overview of the organization and how it functions as a whole. The person in this position should possess basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices, facility with Microsoft system computers including Windows and Excel, as well as refined standards of organization and attention to detail, and other fundamental administrative skills. Part-time internships are unpaid, and available for a year or semester length, college course credit may be available. The internship focuses mainly on our youth outreach programming, where the intern will be mentored by our team of teaching artists and Education Director and develop the skills necessary to facilitate creative drama and playmaking classes for all ages. They also have the opportunity to explore the other areas of the department as they please and create programming that they are passionate about.

Part-time internships are unpaid, and available as a summer, semester or year-long opportunity. College course credit may be available. During the school year, the education intern must have availability during after-school hours (generally 3pm-6pm, with some flexibility) at least two days a week. Other hours are flexible. BCI and fingerprinting required. Experience with youth a plus, but not necessary. If you are interested in an internship for the Fall 2016 semester, please apply by August 1st.
