NOW ENROLLING
Monster Lab
Monster Lab is an introductory theatre class for youth ages 9-13. These young artists will invent their own monster creatures and work collaboratively to imagine a world that their characters inhabit. Using physical theater techniques and ensemble games, artists will devise a short play about this world of monsters. Participants will also explore the intersection of character and design by constructing original costumes and masks. Through performance and the celebration of their own unique “monsters” and strangeness, the class will emphasize the importance of individuality both as a performance tool and a life-long value.
