Playwright Charlie Thurston's plays Radical (Co-written with Deborah Salem Smith) Lifted, A and B, Empire, A Demonstration by Patient Edward, and The History Room have been developed or produced at Huntington Theatre, Trinity Rep, The Filigree Theatre, The Wilbury Group, Brown University, Cornell College, and Creede Repertory Theater. He was the 2012 recipient of the Trinity Repertory Company’s David Wickham Memorial Playwriting Prize. He holds an MFA in Acting from Brown University/Trinity Rep where he studied playwriting under Erik Ehn and Deborah Salem Smith, and has been a member of the Trinity Rep acting company since 2013.

Susie is the Director of Education & Drama Therapist at the Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre and a clinician and drama therapist for Thrive Behavioral Health, both in Warwick, Rhode Island. Additionally, she works as an intimacy director for local theatre companies and serves on the board of the Warwick Center for the Arts. She received her MA in mental health counseling and drama therapy from Lesley University and is a graduate of the University of Michigan, with a BA in sociology and social inequality.

An accomplished designer, painter, steel fabricator, and electrician; having a technician’s knowledge and a fine art training informs all of Monica Shinn's design work and her painting. As a theatrical designer, Monica's work has appeared with Perishable Theater, the Providence Black Repertory Company, and the Brown Playwriting Festival. As a visual artist Monica's paintings describe her neighborhood, bits and pieces of daily life in Providence and other places. She composes as a colorist, pushing depth and dimension with the force of color rather than traditional time perspective. Her drawings tend more toward reality than realism and her spare works on paper are often achingly stark and true. www.monicashinn.com

An award-winning*, not-for-profit professional theatre company, the Wilbury Theatre Group engages our community in thought-provoking conversation through new works, reimagined classics and adventurous playmaking.
