This two day workshop explores the actor as creator and offers time-tested tools to devise original works for performance. Participants will engage in exercises and activities designed to stimulate their nervous system, increase ensemble awareness, and make authentic moments of theater.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Emmanuelle Delpech has taught semester-long courses at Swarthmore College, Bryn Mawr College and University of the Arts. She currently teaches a 2-semester class for the graduate and undergraduate program at Temple University where she has been teaching on and off for the last 12 years.
She has also taught workshops for the Volcano Institute in Toronto and the Movement Theater Studio in NYC (where she is a regular on the Director’s track) and in higher ed at Williams College, Denison University and Davidson College. She travels often around the United States (Chicago, Los Angeles, NYC) to teach workshops to artists seeking a devised practice. Her teaching includes the Jacques Lecoq pedagogy as well as other devising methods.
Emmanuelle was a regular faculty member of the Headlong Performance Institute and is a full time professor at the Pig Iron School for Advanced Training, which is an MFA with the University of the Arts.
