Marty Finkle was married with 2 daughters. Years later, he felt comfortable enough to tell his wife, kids and family that he was gay. Since then,Marty has been working to get New Jersey to legalize Gay Marriage. He and his partner, Mike Plake were the first couple to have a legal union in New Jersey. Come and hear these engaging stories of those who've seen the effects of organized religion, good and bad, on their own lives.

The American Evangelical Movement
What is this "Evangelical movement" thing anyway? Daniel Vaca, Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Brown University has an expertise on the Evangelical movement and will enlighten us on this topic. He'll be joined by Pastor Todd Murphy, a self-described Evangelical and a pastor with Providence's Sacred Journey Church to discuss with audiences how religion shapes our lives in today's society.
